If fei du is going to mostly at the race track this week, here they are. Lambda, as always with her sunglasses on, is looking at this track with some consideration. ]
fei du glances over at lambda - he's got a helmet under his arm, and is wearing the tight racing suit as given by the image from the race track. i don't make the rules.
delightful! perfect! there's a little bit of a glitter in his eye as he returns the look - the kind that just screams trouble. ]
Then you've picked the right person to share a ride with.
[ he will grab a helmet and offer it to her, picking one up for himself, and then go over to one of the bikes, sliding into the driver's spot and scooting forward so there's plenty of space. hop on! ]
[ imagine she just throws the helmet away. no, she will be safe (or safer). she puts on the helmet (over her sunglasses i hate her), and she hops on behind him.
[ fei du waits very patiently for lambda to get settled, putting his hands on the handlebars properly and leaning forward. once he's sure she's comfortable and holding on tight, he pulls the bike up to the starting line of the course. it's very relaxed and easy, at first. and then, looking up at the lights, he waits, patiently, for a couple of drivers to pass by. one, two...
fei du revs the engine - it gives a loud, violent growl - and then takes off. there is zero hesitation as he guns the motorcycle so they take off like a rocket down the straight start of the track, weaving in and out of other traffic at top speed like it's nothing. he drives it like he stole it, or, maybe more like someone who has a lot of experience with this kind of thing.

as they come up to a split in the track, he calls out - ] Left or right?
[ lambda's preference for things is going fast and going hard, so this start is right up her alley. she likes the thrill, and there's a brightness to her eyes that are hidden by both helmet and sunglasses. ]
i mean anyway. fei du follows the instruction with aplomb - in fact, he whips the bike around the corner enough that it leans over, drifting close enough to the ground you could almost touch it, before he straightens right back up at the end of the hairpin turn and shoots off down another straight thoroughfare.
it's the thrill of it, the danger of it, that makes it so fun. his preference is also going fast and going hard, apparently. ]
as he pulls the bike back up, they round the corner and onto a thoroughfare - and there, at the end, is a ramp. fei du grins in a way you can hear it in his voice, and gives the engine another rev. ]
