Did you manage to catch Libby before she was Erased? Or have you heard of any reason for why she chose Buzen out of everyone here from anyone who talked to her?
I don't think much of killing. I understand if people want to win and want to kill for it for the chance to go back for whatever reason.
[ murder is not the issue. morals are also a nonissue. ]
But to have the audacity to say it's less cruel to choose Buzen because she knew he didn't know how much longer his existence as spirit would last when a human could have a longer, fuller life? [ her emotions feel as sharp as the knife legs she doesn't have during the summer. ] It's more foul than any pollution her poison could cause.
[ Oh, yeah. He closes his eyes at that, reaching in his jacket pocket for a cigarette, aaand... finding it empty. His head tilts back with a sigh, irritation and slight exasperation at himself making small ripples in the air. ]
Makes it sound like she didn't think his life was worth the same, just 'cause he wasn't born human.
People'll go all kinds of lengths to justify their moves. Sometimes it'd just be kinder to say I did it just because than fumble through excuses that don't hold up in the end.
[ even modified lungs can only take so much..... but it's life to smoke out.
her vibes are prickly. ]
I would have accepted that. I just wanted to. I didn't care.
[ is it a great reason? no. but it'd be less reason to hate. it'd be less reason to be reminded of just how much humans thought lesser of the spirits they use and summon and have help them.
[ He may be getting lung cancer right now but given his options are that normally he'd just regen it back, or he will die earlier, he sees no losses. Even here it's like he'll either come back to life with his normal abilities intact or he will be dead, so it doesn't matter. ]
Sorry it wasn't a good answer for you.
[ This is not condescending. Sometimes the least you wish for is that an answer will give uou closure, and then sometimes it makes you feel worse. It's just bad. ]
[ stop being so nihilistic. damn. happy almost 6k comments, lowe.
she lets out a soft sigh. ]
I wasn't expecting any answer to be good. It's not like I have a moral compass the way most humans like to think they do.
[ she was whatever about d killing rin? she could have been fine with libby killing buzen. killing happens in a game like this, but somehow, things can get worse in a way you don't expect. ]
But also yeah unfortunately Wolfwood is same brain. It sucks that Rin was killed, especially so early, and Buzen was also a choice in his eyes, but ultimately he isn't as bothered as a lot of the really depressed folk. ]
If they only think they do, then it's not so different is it? Just that you're actually honest and they're not.
[ YES I AM POSITIVE. I AM SURE. YOU ARE OVER HALFWAY THERE. THERE IS MORE THAN HALF THE GAME LEFT. THERE'S STILL OVER 30 CHARACTERS. YOU STILL HAVE YOUR CASTMATES AND YOUR ENTIRE TEAM. I BELIEVE. ]

[ he was a sword, and as far as she knew, he wasn't a holy one of any kind. ]

Isn't that all we are in the end anyway? Just an amalgamation of pieces somebody else gave you.
no subject
there's something that shifts in her emotions at what he says next, a dark shift of a current. wolfwood has no idea, and yet. ]
Gave is a generous term for some of us. Discarded is more fitting for others.
no subject
[ He sighs a little. If he notices the current, he doesn't say anything. ]
Or pieces you're forced to take when you didn't want to.
no subject
[ having pieces of others forced onto you whether you like it or not. ]
Not all people are the same, but sometimes, people remind you they can be more similar than ever before.
[ it's more quiet and resigned than anything else, as if she's used up most of her anger and derision for a while. ]

[ It's not said in a way that presses her for information. They're both very tired. ]

[ And inadvertently acting therapist lowkey but it's fine. ]
Did you?

she lets her emotions do most of her talking for her. her emotions surge the way a tsunami rolls out of the depths onto shore, wild and terrible.
her anger crashes down before it recedes much like any other wave. ]
She's lucky I knew she was going to Erased today.
no subject
That bad, huh. Her reasons didn't sit right with you?

[ There's derisive humour in his tone. ]
no subject
derisive is a mood. ]
She had the audacity to say that wasn't it after I told her that's basically what she said to me.

she makes a small gesture with her arm. ]
Isn't that difference enough? I don't pretend I'm on some moral high horse.
[ you can definitely argue she acts like she's on some other kind of high horse. ]
no subject
Sure... not a moral one...
...But I guess I'd rather you don't act all high and mighty about that kind of shit in a killin' game, yeah.
no subject
What are you trying to say, Wolfwood?
no subject
Unimportant right now.

there's a swirl of surprise. ]
You're more considerate than expected.

I don't expect much consideration.
