People don't have to like their leaders. People do like, or at least they're charmed by, in the moment, whom they rally to.

Neither. I'm not a leader, nor do I try to have people rally to my side. I gather a fanbase.

I want to give my fans a thrill and enrich their lives. I don't need them close to me. There's a distinction.
