... yeah. We were-- we'd all died, already. Got brought back to finish out the experiment, and at the end, we were supposed to shut down and finally get the rest that he disturbed by waking us back up.
Angela was supposed to shut down, too, but- she never got to be alive in the first place.
... Is that why she seemed so desperate? [ she isn't judging for the implications of how angela basically sacrificed so many lives in order to live. ] You told me you'd wanted to live outside of your duty, too.
It was. I'm still mad about what she did, but after we saw more of what it was like for her...
She suffered as much as we did, and didn't even get anything out of it. Her creator hated her. So I guess I can't really blame her for not caring about the end result, after everything, even though that meant her desires got in the way of changing the world. She doesn't know any other way.

...no. She was still the AI in charge of the facility-- she had too much control over it, and the only one of us who wasn't actually part of the original research sided with her. We managed to fight her off for a few days, but...

We ended up having to agree to the deal she offered us. I didn't want to-- I still don't want to be doing the work she gave us. But incidents like what you saw, with her emotions taking over-
She's been getting more human. Physically, too. So maybe by the end of this, she'll have changed in ways we didn't expect.
